Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
This week was a lot! Of fun! And things! And lots of things and probably cutting off more things than I can chew!

This week…

  • We had a concert in Otsu! I played the violin and sang. Elder Seegmiller and I also played a duet where I sang! The concert was really good – we were able to invite our friends and new people and they loved it. It’s a really easy church invite lol. [I’ll insert some highlights below.]
  • We also started teaching the person in my last email. She’s actually super interested in the gospel and discussions about faith! Her name is Mori. Unfortunately, I was only be able to teach her one lesson. That’s because…

I’ve been transferred to Abeno!

Osaka is the second largest city in Japan, with a population of 18 million people. My second area, Abeno, is the heart of Osaka. It spans from a little south east of the city center, all the way to the western coast and Osaka river. The ward I serve in has around 100-200 (lol idk) active members, with a significant portion of members of Chinese, Phillipino, and other nationalities. In this area, three other Elders (two ZLs and a DL), two Sisters (STLs) and I find, serve, and teach others here in this area! It’s a little overwhelming. I’m by far the youngest [newest] missionary in my area. I’m moving from 7 consistent teaching friends in Otsu (which we grew from about 2 at the beginning of last transfer) to about 20-30ish friends in Abeno (we couldn’t even get through all of them in weekly planning, not all consistent so we’ll see what it ends up as). But I have faith in the Lord’s ability to qualify those He calls. I really don’t think it’ll be easy. It’s completely different from my favorite small town Otsu (I seriously didn’t wanna leave! I miss everyone so much already lol…). But I think it’ll really help me grow as an individual. I trust in God to help me in the situations that I am placed in.

With Friends in Otsu

2 Corinthians 5:6-7

6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight)

God has not left any of us alone. He has provided us the Holy Ghost, scriptures, prayer, prophets, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Everything testifies of the love of God. When times are hard, I only feel more privileged to be able to rely on the hand of God. There’s always something that we can do in our power and God will give us all He can to help us do it. God qualifies those who do His work. So I’ll keep pressing forward.

Alma 7:11-12

11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.

12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.

Because of the Atonement, Jesus Christ knows what you go through. He knows how to return everyone to safety and joy. He will lift you up in times of need. Trust in His plan!

C yall later !!!
