Another week reporting from the Kobe Mission! Once during splits with other new missionaries and once with my companion. During our District Council Meeting I was in an exchange of 3 so I just decided to split off (still in sight and sound of course!), and I found someone! Just for English class though, nothing spectacular [yet]. But later my companion was talking to someone and I had the strangest impression (well, maybe not too strange as a missionary!) to talk to someone else that was nearby, so I decided to follow it, and apparently the guy&#8217;s wife was Christian and he was really REALLY interested in learning more about Christianity. He&#8217;s super busy though, so getting a follow up is really hard. I&#8217;m in contact with him though, and he&#8217;s super interested! It works so great. I think of the invite that my friend could really benefit from, consider the Gospel principles that best support that invitation, and just deep dive into what I want to teach for the lesson! It helps invite the Spirit during the lesson so much, even when my Japanese is still cooked. (Jk it&#8217;s not that cooked I&#8217;m pretty good for 3rd transfer!) On Wednesday, I learned that our church member Hina (from China) is trying to start her business making Shanghai cuisine in Osaka! We helped her out this week move boxes and get stuff ready. If it doesn&#8217;t work out for her, she has to move back to China. We were super worried because she said she has never cooked before! I lowkey thought it was about to be \u3042\u304b\u3093 for a moment. But we worked for two hours regardless making her restaurant really nice. We saw like 4 people stop by inside the restaurant and ask when it would open!! And so we were really happy about that. But then she made some food for us and it was SO GOOD!!! God is working for her overtime!! Apparently she felt a really strong impression to open the restaurant (probably because I&#8217;m coming to Osaka at this time and I really love Chinese food&#8230;.jkjk) and I know God is helping her so much with her own efforts right now. That being said, it&#8217;s so delicious that I might need to start streeting by her restaurant and eating dinner there, and making dinner appointments with friends there too. Hahaha. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"postie-post\">\n<ul>\n<li>A lot of our friends dropped off for church this Sunday&#8230; weather and busy. We went from 14 to 4. \u30e4\u30d0\u3044\uff01<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"postie-post\">\n<p>\n<b>How&#8217;s my comp?:<\/b>\n<br>\nMy current comp Elder Jenkins is a great missionary! I&#8217;m so blessed \ud83d\ude42 I always want to try to do my best because I have been given so much (including exceptional companions). It is my best motivation. I&#8217;m trying to really fix my sleep schedule, eating habits, and working out consistently. It&#8217;s really hard for me though \ud83d\ude41 I used to pull all nighters in high school and college to study and party, so prioritizing my body isn&#8217;t something I really grew up doing. One of the core concepts of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is taking good care of your body! It is because our bodies are a &#8220;temple of God and. . .the Spirit of God dwelleth in [us]&#8221; (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchofjesuschrist.org\/study\/scriptures\/nt\/1-cor\/3?lang=eng&#038;id=p16#p16\">1 Corinthians 3:16<\/a>). We are meant to take care of our bodies because they are a gift from God!<br><br>\n<b>Other message:<\/b>\n<br>\nI love the people in Japan so much. It is the one thing that will keep me going no matter what. My patriarchal blessing talks a lot about my mission being a place where, those I labor to share the gospel with will become my friends throughout this life and eternity. I am so grateful for my time here in Japan because not only are they my friends, but they understand me at a deeper level because they share my beliefs. They understand the joy that the gospel brings. I&#8217;m probably busier than I&#8217;ve ever been in my life, and I&#8217;m basically living on prayers and fry pan gyoza at this point, but I&#8217;m also incredibly happy.
