Hi all,

I don’t have the most time this week to write an email, and words these days are expensive anyways. We had an awesome P-day in an historic city in our prefecture called Kurashiki. I was so glad to get out of the inaka (rural) for a little bit! We went to a famous Western art museum, a huge mall, and finally to the shrine of Momotaro, a warrior who was born from a peach floating down a river.

I just wanna say one thing to those who read my email. It’s my favorite principle to teach in all of the missionary lessons.

Choose to love.

Love the person in front of you. Love the person who wronged you. Love in conflict. Love the person who’s struggling and love the person who has it all. Love yourself.

Love those who have good vibes and those who have terrible vibes. Love those who are hated and those who hate. Love those who accept you and those who reject you.

Love God. Love what you are given by God, good or bad. Love what you are not given. Love those that know and don’t know God.

“On this,” taught Jesus Christ, “hangs all the law and the prophets.”
“By this shall men know that ye are my disciples.”

I have a question for you. How do you think following this principle to a *greater* extent will change your heart? If you’d like, take a minute to think about it.

I testify it is only through this principle that miracles may occur. All that God has done is a representation of His love for us. It is His covenant.

See you next week,

Elder Son

  1. Eli,
Loving others is the greatest thing we can do. I’m so proud of all the good that you have done thus far on your mission. Participating in His work and loving and serving others for Him is beyond special. This next year is going to go by quickly. Put forth your best efforts and you will witness miracles. You are a wonderful missionary!! I’m so grateful to have met you and get to follow your journey.
    Much love, Sharon White
